Birthday Staycation

The staycation wasn’t planned to coincide with the Squid Game staycation package offered by the hotel. Despite the late check-in, the room wasn’t ready, and was upgraded to a “larger” room with a King-size bed and bathtub. I felted elated upon opening the door to the room – it was the Heritage room.

Heritage Room – Living Area

The Heritage Rooms are located in the hotel’s heritage wing, and our room shared the same level as the Rose Marie and Tower suites. The room has been tastefully furnished in Victorian style with a modern touch, that exudes a neo-classical charm. The wardrobe, mini-bar, coffee/tea facilities, and even the toilet are nicely concealed behind the olive lacquer panels.

The sleeping area is separated from the living area with a flat-screen television each. Given the dine-in restrictions, this provided a conducive space for our meals. The little one was able to get her rest while we caught up on our drama and variety shows in the living area.

Eating or taking out is convenient since there are eateries in Far East Plaza, and the hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to the nearby malls. If not for the staycation, we wouldn’t have the chance to check out Eggslut. It’s a pity it was only for a night, however, we probably weren’t have been offered an upgrade if the stay was two nights. 😀 Regardless, we made full use of the amenities and the late check out. It would have been better if we were able to conclude our stay with the high tea at L’Espresso.
