Tulipmania 2021
An impromptu visit after I came across this event from a Facebook post. It was low peak and managed to purchase the ticket online.
The Yurt in the background (left) is a nomadic dwelling used among the Kazakhs, where all festivities, ceremonies, births, weddings and funerals are held. Yurts are made from natural and renewable raw materials, designed to be transported by pack animals.
Most of the wild tulips from Central Asia, the showcase for this year’s event, were not yet in bloom during my visit. Regardless, the visitors were able to capture the tulips sourced from New Zealand.
Thankfully, there was no time restriction as I spent close to 2 hours capturing the exhibits. It was a fruitful afternoon and me-time before the hectic work schedule.
