unfateful ascent

one of the highlights of the holiday, is a trip up to penang hill. penang hill or bukit bendera, situated about 2,750 feet above sea level on the northern part of penang island, is the oldest hill resort. the quickest and most convenient way up to the penang hill is via the funicular railway system from air itam to the top of the hill.

we discovered to our dismay that the funicular train service was under maintenance, due to an incident from the previous day.

that added up to my third visit to penang, within a single success to ascend to the top of the hill. 🙁

perhaps i should plan for an off-the-beaten track experience to hike for 2 to 3 hours, up to the top, in my next trip to penang.
