the road trips up north

legoland

a birthday treat for the hubby, who is a huge fan of lego. the trip was planned back in june and we managed to secure early bird tickets, which was about 20% cheaper than the published rates. awed by the mini-world made of lego blocks, we spent the entire morning there, and that was also the last place we visited before we end our visit. sunscreen is a must, if you intend to spend the entire day in the theme park!

desaru

a pre-Christmas retreat from the running team, and a chance to bond with one another over a weekend stay at lotus desaru resort. weather was fine, until we were reaching the bridge along the new highway. the steep ascent on the bridge, with dark clouds looming ahead of our destination.

unlike pulai springs, there are more water sports activities, that could have possibly caused the color of the sand to be black. no foul smell though – thank goodness.

we woke up early for the sunrise, only to be greeted with clouds, covering the sun yolk 🙁
