the run, and the rain
it was a struggling run and i could barely made it pass the 2 km mark. the first 2 km was in an average pace of 7:45 min/km, slower than my peak training performance.
we walk the last 2 km to the first resting point, which the hubby tried to emphasized on, should we continue the run towards lor halus wetland.
the new route has not been fully explored yet by many people. we came across very few joggers along the route. there seems to be more cyclists than joggers. it’s good to make good use of the running path before it gets crowded after the completion of the housing developments in punggol.
the sky was gloomy and threatened to run before we started out. it wasn’t till our return trip did it start to pour. hang around mcdonald’s, paced around pastamania, and finally made the decision to walk back in the rain.
we picked up a broken umbrella and was glad to be sheltered from the never ending rain. it was past 9 pm, by the time we arrived back at home with our warm food.
if i’d mustered up the energy to complete the run, we probably won’t be trapped in the rain.
