exposing to the right
it’s a technique used to make better use on the dynamic range on dslr cameras by overexposing the image. the histogram, when viewed on the camera after taking the shot, should snugged up to the right but not to the point where the highlights are blown.
normal exposure (center)
overexposed (shifted to the right)
do bear in mind that this technique works only if you shoot in RAW.
