training run – a struggle
finally had the opportunity to test the polar heart rate monitor on the rcx5. did a short 3.38 km run and struggled to complete the park connector trail.
my pace was too fast, and my HR ended up in zone 5 most of the time. i used to feel numbness on my fingers during my 10km runs, probably due to the lack of training, i felt it and the occasionally ear blocks.
for a start, i will treat this as a extended speed training run. i wasn’t paying much attention to the “live” feed on the rcx5, and should take it slow and easy in my next training run.
