listen to your body
after witnessing the collapse of 2 atheletes, right in front of me, i began to understand the importance of consistence training and pushing oneself to the limits.
the first was an aquathlon athlete, who despite fell once, managed to pick himself up and fell back again, but struggled to lift himself again. an elderly man, who’s either his father or coach, encouraged him to get up, and attempted to persuade the medic to assist him to the finishing line, which was less than 100 meters away.
the second was a 21km runner from the sundown marathon. he was hallucinating and couldn’t walk straight, without the support of the railings.
i’m glad the man is coping well in his first marathon run. it rained, and they were told to look for shelter till 4.30 am. If the skies cleared by 4.30 am, it would have been much later before he’s back.
my post’s coming to an end, and i can’t hear the raindrops no the window…
