seriously chaotic messy system

the online registration for the stanchart marathon was a pain. there are limited ekiden race slots and is always the first to be fully subscribed.

this registration reminded me of the online ticketing system for mayday’s concert in taipei last year. after multiple auto logouts, finally managed to register the ekiden category after 3 hours! the 3 hours of lost time consisted of:

1) runner tee size did not appear
2) auto logouts
3) registration fields populated with information of other registrants!
4) database connection issue

i was fortunate to be able to clear the payment before the end of my lunch hour. less sweat and lesser pain for the stanchart run this year!
