another marathon – photo!

the 10th edition of the canon photomarathon attracted 15,000 2,419 participants this year in marina bay sands convention center. this year, there was an additional celebrity category, where mediacorp artistes and djs, pitted their photography skills among themselves to win to best entry for the last photo theme. their winnings would be donated to the charity organization of his/her choice. the winning entry went to vernon of the muttons from 987fm.

limited kfc $5 vouchers were issued during registration, and used together with the kfc food coupon, a meal in kfc would have been free. besides the usual complimentary A4 size photo printout, each participant were entitled to one time redemption of a chocolate truffle from awfully chocolate.

there was the usual event t-shirt (also too big for me – take a note to get the XS size next year), osim massage chairs, canon merchandises, booths put up by the event sponsors and red bull. unlike the previous years, red bull only allowed 1 can per participant. canon camera users were given gifts during each photo submission. first theme submission was issued with a pen, 4GB thumbdrive and a notepad. the second photo submission was a canon camera strap, and last submission was a keychain calculator.

i was exhausted after a day of wandering around the marina bay and suntec area. even though my photos did not make it up to the hall of fame, it was an afternoon well spent with friends.
