sentosa walkabout

i had a rare opportunity to head out alone to sentosa while the hubby is away on in camp training. the scorching heat was unbearable but i was glad there wasn’t any rain, despite hearing thunder claps from the main island. the highlight for the visit was the new resort world and universal studios.

most parts of the resort world are still under construction, especially the waterfront portion.

i had to stand still and prayed hard nobody will block my view, while waiting for the “universal” word to appear before i took this shot.

for the price of SGD16, you can purchase a ticket for 2 skyride and luge rides. the ride was cool and refreshing, minus the adrenaline i felt, with my feet dangling out (i fear my shoes will fell down towards the ground or my cam!). it was a pity my skyride was up hill with my back facing the south china sea, else the view would have been fabulous.

the rain over the weekend did not destroy the creative sand sculpture by jooheng. the sand works are amazing, and finer details incorporated into the sculpture. i, for one, like especially the mini merlion at the foot of the lady.

the overall trip was good and i had time to indulge myself in photography. my trip doesn’t end here and i’m already looking forward to my next visit, especially the universal studios and at least one night stay in the hard rock hotel.
