urgent database restoration

clubsnap has been under-going an urgent database restoration due to multiple hardware failures on the servers since last sunday.

i chanced upon the local online photography forum 5 years ago while searching for tips and reviews on photographic equipment. my interest in photography grew after browsing through the countless amazing landscapes, abstracts and still life pictures. i hardly post new entries or give comments in the forum, but i took my first basic photography course conducted by another member, bought my first film slr, filters and lens from the forum.

the forum has an estimated 703,200 monthly visits and i can’t imagine the amount of data that have been accumulated over the years. in my last DR exercise, it took me close to a week to restore more than 600GB of data.

till now, i have to forgo my daily visit to the forum and put on hold my search for camera equipment (save money!!) 😉
