most indians have sweet-tooth, but how can we blame them for the love of their traditional indian sweets? mithai or indian sweets are confectionery, made mainly from sugar, milk and condensed milk.
the rasgulla is a popular spongy cheese-based, syrupy sweet dish, originating from Bengal. it is made from balls of indian cottage cheese and flour, cooked in sugar syrup. i like these among the other sweets i’d tried as i can control the level of sweetness, by squeezing out the amount of sweet syrup from the spongy ball.
in your visit to india, do not forget to try out their sweet delights.
Never too late for a sweet treat. Happy weekend.
