the techie nomad
it has been proven that you can be on the go and connected to the world, without a permanent roof over your head.
gizmodo – i’m homeless and this is why i have an ipad
i had this little dream when i was young, to leave my home behind and travel around the world with a backpack, but i lack the courage to pursue it. over the years, i’d gotten comfortable in my environment and the people around me, and probably one of the reason why i’m working in the same company for almost a decade!
an ipad is a one-time investment while a roof over the head will cost you a life-time of slogging away at the mercy of your employer. no doubt the lifestyle lead by the man in the article, or others who made the same decision, is interesting. you have the ability to survive in the streets and stay connected on the go, but what happens if you get older and requires medical attention?
if i ever gonna lose my family, a one way ticket out of home is inevitable. no matter how long or far i may travel, singapore shall be my final destination.
