the real run

the sunrise to welcome the day for the 15km runners at the real run event this morning.

the first 4 km route covered the cross country akin trail, followed by a 2 km tarmac road towards changi park beach, 0.6 km on the beach and the remaining jogging track and tarmac road back to changi exhibition centre. thankfully drink stations were located every 2 km. despite the dark clouds over our heads and the intermittent thunder claps before the race, there wasn’t a single drop of rain, and the run walk was unbearable under the hot sun.

hopefully the city run next week will give me an improvement over the net time of 1:28:28 today.
