the remains of the national stadium

i last stepped foot into the national stadium for the mayday d.n.a concert last april. it used to be the most outstanding structure, that dominated the kallang stadium area. i always made it a point to remind my hubby to return for a final shootout, every time we passed by, before it will be reduced to rambles.

from far, i couldn’t make out the actual area covered by the national stadium. the running tracks and what used to be the tarmac car park had already been dug out, leaving a mess of gravel and sand. in time to come, the entire indoor stadium will soon be visible from the nicoll highway.
