morning glory

it took me some time to remember morning glory flowers only bloom in the day, and close to a tiny bud at night. this shot was taken in the late afternoon, before a light rain.

the entire picture would have been perfect if the bright, white area on the top left has been replaced with green leaves.

despite the flaws, i’m glad the picture turned out well as the flower is perched atop a branch, about half a head above me (camera shake *shudders*).
