the crazy weekend, photo marathon, and running events
with little sleep and rest, i was drained from the hectic weekend.
saturday was a walkathon day at the canon photomarathon xi event. our 4th annual participation and we had 3 newbies who joined our usual group of 5 this year. the themes were revealed via a rainbow color spinning wheel. for whatever spooky reason, the pin tend to stop in the white zone, and the second theme was revealed after a good 4 spins.
theme 1 – tradition
theme 2 – communicate
theme 3 – instant
none of our entries won the hearts of the judges. 🙁 there goes the 5dmkiii that i’d been eyeing on.
nevertheless, the hubby and i managed to get our camera body and lenses cleaned, after queuing for close to 2 hours. a short rest of our feet and rehydration, we went off for the orange ribbon race against racism run in the late evening – as a photographer.
by the time we headed home after dinner and started my scheduled work activity, it was close to 10 pm. struggled to complete the work, gave up on the troubleshooting, and logged off to catch up on some beauty sleep.
barely slept for 5 hours and we were at jurong for the jurong lake run. we were fortunate to station ourselves in the road that was a few hundred meters leading up to the finishing line, with the sun facing our backs.
i finally had my rest in the evening, after the morning shoot, meals, shopping and work activity. looking forward to this coming weekend, where i will get my well-deserved break and solitude.
