hospitalized imac

the hubby lagged the imac down to the service center, despite the onsite warranty coverage (i only learned about the onsite support eligibility from the eserv guy).

i feel handicapped without my imac and is daunted by the prospect of losing all my data, which i’m clueless as to whether critical data had been stored. my last usable backup was performed 4 months ago – the first time i experienced startup issue on my imac. eserv provides the option to backup data from the old harddisk with a fee of $200, excluding taxes.

the next pc show will be held in suntec city, from mar 11 to 14 2010. it will be a choice between the time capsule or a normal external harddisk storage for me. the external harddisk option is more attractive (in terms of price) with a syncback equivalent application. times are bad and there is always a need to make the best out of an investment (regardless the type of investment – for me it’s almost always tech related).
