a different lunch break
i took advantage of the close proximity from the training center to chinatown, and walked to the buddha tooth relic temple for a shutter release during lunch break. i was taken aback by the crowd gather in the 100 dragon halls on the first floor, only to find out later that it was the jade emperor birthday celebration. the prayer area was cordoned off and i was overshadowed by the devotees and tourists who flanked the front.
my bulky bag apparently got in the way of some visitors and i was shoved on a few occasions, contributing to the countless blur images captured (plus my legs were shaking from the brisk walk). the architectural aspects of the temple appealed more to me, than the proceedings in the hall and i went on for a few quick shots before rushing back for class.
