a different toilet bowl
we first came across the toilet bowl restaurant in penang. it wasn’t till my first visit to t-bowl in sunway pyramid last week, that i discovered from the website on the origin of this quirky restaurant. t-bowl is a franchised business from penang – even though i have the impression that this concept was first introduced in taiwan. customers will chow on a toilet bowl, and the tables are basically basins, littered with toiletries and covered with a layer of acrylic. one can find poo decorated on the walls and ceiling of the restaurant, toilet roll holders and shower head on the walls.
the food and drinks are served in miniature toilets, and the dessert ice cream resembles what goes into the toilet. we skipped the dessert, with the excuse of having to avoid ice cream from the sinseh’s advice 🙂
i had the spicy soybean paste pork with rice, while the hubby had pork floss over cheese-baked pork rice. i will give a rating of 7/10 for the food, but a 4/10 for the mocha drink.
overall, we had a good experience without any puking thoughts or emotion throughout our meal in t-bowl.
